Saline Valley Monarch Count

The Saline Valley Monarch Count website is run by the Inyo County regional coordinators of the Western Monarch Count. Rachel Williams and Joanna Gilkeson created the Saline Valley Monarch Count as a way to recruit and train adventure community scientists, avid hikers, and those with wilderness experience to help count monarchs in Saline Valley weekly from October through January. If you are interested in volunteering to participate in these really interesting inland western monarch overwintering counts, please visit the Saline Monarch Count website to learn more and connect with the group.
